My friend Bionic Babe is getting married on August 7, and she has asked me to be the music czarina for the event. (Basically, she's asking me to come up with most of the recorded music they'll play during the ceremony and reception and burn it onto cds.)
There are some things she wants and some things I have thought of that I simply don't have, and I was wondering if any of my friends have these CDs or songs on mp3 that I could borrow for a day so I can burn them?
Charlotte Church - Flower Duet
Any Elvis Presley
The Beatles:
All You Need is Love
I Want to Hold Your Hand
This is Love
Norah Jones - Come Away With Me
Pete Townsend - Let My Love Open The Door
George Harrison - What is Life?
Eric Clapton - You Look Wonderful Tonight (ugh!)
Dido - Thank You
Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run
The Rising (???)
Louis Armstrong - What a Wonderful World
Frank Sinatra - Fly Me to the Moon
Any Ella Fitzgerald
Any Billie Holliday
Any Bing Crosby
Alison Krauss - When You Say Nothing At All
My Fair Lady Soundtrack - I'm Getting Married in the Morning
Somewhere Over the Rainbow - any non-rock version
Sound of Music
South Pacific
Gigi
West Side Story
Any album by Combustible Edison
Any album by Esquivel
Any 50s lounge/exotica
Bob Dylan - I Love You More Than Ever
James Taylor - How Sweet It Is
Stevie Wonder - Isn't She Lovely or You are the Sunshine of My Life
A Carole King collection
70s-era Jackson Browne
Reba MacEntire
Martina MacBride
Billy Idol
A Paul Simon collection
Lynrd Skynrd (are there romantic songs of theirs? And no, I don't want "Freebird")
40s and 50s Swing music
Thanks for looking!

Date: 2005-07-30 12:37 pm (UTC)I have some of what you're looking for. Send an e-mail to dokai @ livejournal.com and I'll reply with my music list. If you think it's worth the effort, we can get together to exchange music. It may take me a little while to get back to you, as I'm going to be running around most of the weekend, but I'll respond asap.
How are you as far as equipment? Amps, speakers, etc?
