millariSo I got a minor pop culture question resolved for myself yesterday at the supermarket checkout. It just goes to show how little i pay attention to this stuff.
I happened to be home at my parents' house this weekend without nothing to do at night, so I watched Saturday Night Live with Jennifer Aniston. I saw this sketch where they were making fun of Britney Spears' 50-hour marriage debacle. I hadn't heard about this, so I wasn't even sure if they were making fun of something real at first. So fine. I can laugh at how stupid Britney Spears is just the same as the next guy. Whatever.
So then the next day, I heard some dj on the radio making a reference to the marriage and they mentioned her unfortunate husband - Jason Alexander.
Well, to show you how out of the loop I am, I went to the supermarket last night and saw the tabloids and suddenly this whole marriage thing made more sense.
Up until then, I'd been saying to myself, "How weird. How did she ever get to be friends with the guy from 'Seinfeld?'"
